The Importance Of Memories

December 1, 2017

Many that know me know that my family came to Canada a few decades ago as refugees. Like many others in our situation, we came with very little, carrying only a few personal belongings. I swear my parents came with a suitcase with a few changes of clothes and a few photos. These photos portrayed a happier time and to this day, these photos are the only things that I have to remind me of my childhood in Bosnia.

So when I got pregnant with Ena, I promised to keep track of EVERYTHING I could documenting her life...because after all, growing a baby from scratch is a huge accomplishment. Then two years later, baby sis Elma was born and I have kept alllll of the things - sonograms, cards, hospital bracelets, first shoes, first locks of hair, baby books, etc. And in the day of social media, I have about 3 billion photos that help keep track of all of their firsts, their favourite things and precious family moments.

So you guys - I recently collaborated with  on a product that can help me keep track of everything in a really compact and beautiful organizing system. It is called the Baby Edition Keepsake Box and it includes a box with pull out drawers where you can place some of your most treasured items, along with another box that includes folders for things such as artwork, doctor documents and baby books. It has a very beautiful minimalistic design and blends so nicely with the baby's nursery.

It's amazing how times have changed - with the invention of social media, many even complain that we over-share and spam with photos of our children (guilty!), but I truly believe that these memories are so important , because after all, is there anything more important than our children? So i say spam away! And then save those memories because they last forever.

If you are interested in this keepsake box and live in Canada, click here to buy! If you're in the United States, click here and use code SAMRA15 for 15% off!

Note: While I collaborated with on this product, my opinions of this product are my own and I truly do love it!
